Secured Loan statement

I have a query regarding a Secured loan which was been paid off early due to the unexpected death of my partner.

The history is long & complex however, basically, I am looking for advice regarding the statement the company have provided me with. On making some previous investigations myself, GE Money have admitted that they incorrectly charged me for interest, which was refunded. A further investigation found that they incorrectly charged me for Income on early Settlement, which was also refunded.

I have limited understanding of the technicalities and financial charges which should or shouldn’t have been applied, but obviously this has left me uneasy that the other charges and amounts are correct. Ultimately the loan was for £35k in total, and i paid £43k to complete it. I referred the case to the Financial Ombudsman who advised they couldn’t assist with this type of query.

I have a full copy/sp sheet of the statement if anyone has the capacity and/or understanding to review? I am aware that this should probably be directed to my solicitor who dealt with the payment however he has been far from helpful on any of the matters.

Thanks
