I've recieved a letter from a company whaich has brought the debt from a bank but this is a debt over 14 years ago and this is the first time anyone has contacted me. The bank never wrote to me about this debt before they sold it to another company. Where do i stand? HELP

Debt would be statute barred (6 years), even if it was a mortgage (12 years).
