mczsteph - welcome to the dfw forum.

And welcome to the world of the debt collection agency. Whatever you agreed with them and however you justified it to them, they will always pressurise you to pay more.

Are they phoning you? You must refuse to speak to them on the phone and require 'everything in writing'. There's a standard letter here

An 'order for sale' is so far down the legal road and so difficult for the creditor to get that it would take a long paragraph to set out all the steps that they would have to go through.

For a creditor to force sale the hoem they need a CCJ. The debt then needs to be sizeable and your income low enough for them to get a CO to secure it on the home. The creditor then needs a brilliant reason to get a forced sale. If you are trying to pay your debts i doubt it would go past a CCJ to secure a debt, added to the fact these legal orders cost them money.

As above there are 3 letters for telephone harassment and one for door step visits - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1837507

And national debtline provide other templates about neoigating payments. Generally just make up a budget sheet and prove what you are paying is the most you can afford. http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#6

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

That is tyipical debt collecter behaviour. I agreed to pay the DC Moorcroft £25 per month as it was all I had available and they seemed happy. However they write to me demanding I pay more e.g. £30pm. It is their job to squeeze every last penny from you in as short a time as possible.

They will make threats but can rarely back it up.

Obviously it depends how much you owe and how much you are currently paying but I would sugest you read up on others experiences with debt collection companies and DON'T GET BULLIED.
