used to contract for a well known ISP ... as part of the contract dialup/adsl was gratis. all setup within the ISP .. only my name/phone number being "real". all paid internally on their systems.
when the contract ended, so did the adsl/dialup accounts.
4 years later on ..
fredrick international write to me telling me i owe said company X amount of money ... i ring them, but cant get passed the DPA as MY details dont match those of the account ... this i knew.
back it ISP who confirm there is no outstanding balances so it must be an error..
hear nothing .. till today a solicitor calls me up. but again i cant complete the DPA to discuss the account, due to the details not matching *yawn*
what do you guys think? go back to the ISP, write to the solicitor asking them to prove it? or just ignore them as the left arm really doesnt know what the right arm is doing.

You're the victim of a fishing exercise by one of the well known dodgy debt collectors - Frederickson.
I think the 'solicitors' that they pretend to employ are called Bryan Carter - probably the same bunch using a different letterhead.
I'd ignore them.0
