I'd ut a cold face cloth on your face, refresh with lots of cold cold water, then keep make up simple:waterproof mascara on top lashes only, a little mid coloured lipstick gloss....if you've been crying you might feel emotional later, so anything to coloured or too pale might look wrong if you flush a little or get pale a little later. Hope your evening improves though. :)

Definitely a very cold face cloth, held over your face and eyes for a few minutes, then rinse in cold water and go again for a few more minutes. Hope you're feeling better now? x♥x

Get a small cup of milk, just a few tablespoons worth. Use a cotton pad to dab the milk all over your face and around the eyes. Leave to dry for 5-10 minutes. Use a washcloth and cold water to gently wash it off.

Thanks all. I'd never heard the milk one - didn't have time to try it, but will bear it in mind (although I really don't cry that often)!
I hate crying, especially to then go into work, looking like a disaster! But I obviously didn't because nobody asked anything so think the cold water definitely worked.

use cucumber slices if available, but a cold damp flannel is my best option, then follow with some light makeup ie powder or tinted moisturizer....then invest in some eyedrops

It's very soothing, especially if you've cried so much that some of your skin has been oversalted/damaged from rubbing with tissues.

Hope that life gets better for you.
