Virgin Media and Bankruptcy

Hello,
We were discharged from BR almost a year ago and since then have not attempted 'file clean-up'.
We have Sky TV (for past 5 yrs) and now would like to switch to Virgin. Reading the small print it says 'subject to status and credit checks'. Status is fine (both employed/home owners)...but credit check!?! AAArrrrrggghhh.
Anyone have any experience with them?
Many thanks x

I think VM may ask you to pay a deposit and limit your account for a while so you don't over stretch yourself.

You'll fail the credit check.....before I went bankrupt 3yrs ago I transerred everything from virgin into my OH's name they called me a few days after BR telling me i'd need to sort an alternative supplier...they felt a little daft when I explained about my OH their system hadnt shown the upgrade so they thought I was still a customer!

Best to do the credit file cleanup & try later down the line with virgin who knows you "might" be lucky...i've been looking around for a new mobile deal & contacted virgin a few days ago & passed a credit check so who knows...
