I work for my local council and you need to contact Human Resources about a possible apprenticeship. Connections usually have the details on any such apprenticeships in their office, so it's worth speaking to them if you're under 25.Everyone I know wants to be a millionaire.
Not me, I want to be a billionaire.0 -
hi thanks for your advice so far,
I actually phoned up a month ago and it was as you say someone in the office but i feel that if i actually spoke to whoever was in charge of the repairs i may stand a better chance.
If I end up at the office again, what advice could you offer on what i should say (e.g would it be better to ask who repairs council houses and speak to that person .....)0 -
Most local authorities have transferred out their housing stock to registered social landlords (housing associations or arms length bodies). These bodies may have their own "buiding services section" or use external contractors for repairs & maintainence, these people seem to big players in the social housing market

Your local councils website will tell you more information as to who or what manages their social housing needs. You can then follow the relevant links0
