Advice please

Hi

I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice?

I split with somebody in December 08, but still have finacial isues to resolve.

We have a joint mortgage and the house is currently in negative equity. We also have a joint unsecured loan. Initially I paid all the mortgage up to June where she contributed with a lodger but I continued to pay the shortfall (which was over half the payment) until January of this year. I then said the time had come for her to pay her way. Since then payment holidays have been arranged and she changed the mortgage to interest only. She is making approximately £500 profit a month from the logers and is refusing to change the mortgage to repayment and even created arrears on the mortgage.

I also have a loan that was taken to clear her debts. Although legally I can't do anything as it is in my name, morally it is disgarceful that she has additional income to spend, but has not contributed or offered my any of it.

Is there a way I can force sale of the house and split the debt 50 50 as I can pay my half. She is also threatening IVA and I am concerned how that will affect me and my wife to be as we are getting married in August. I have tried to be fair along the way but feel I am getting nowhere!

Any advice would be greatfully received.

Thank you in advance

you need to go to see a solicitor..prompto...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
