getting 0% card to pay off overdraft
Options
Hello,
First time on here so be gentler, basically i have a maxed out overdraft on my hsbc graduate account that next month will be changing to a standard account which means they will be charging around 19.9% on any overdrawn balance, look on this site ive seen the super balance transfer using a virgin credit card which has 0% and a small handling fee.
Am i right in thinking that if i got one of those cards i could transfer the money into my current account hsbc which would then clear my overdraft then just pay of the credit card over the next 14months, my income would alow me to do this
any advice ideas?

Yes, if you could get any SBT card with a sufficent balance then you could do exactly that. As you are aware there is a small balance transfer fee.
Obviously whether you will get an SBT card depends on your credit history and you personal financial situation.
For a list of other SBT cards have a look here - http://www.stoozing.com/sbt.php
If you could afford to pay it off in 13months then egg charge a lower transfer fee.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
