Hi
Does any one know the rules about claiming a medical/retirement pension and wanted to start a new employment ten years later from the first claim?
Does the pension stop? Or is it reduced? How does this affect the claimant? Is there any insentive to start the role offered.
Thanks any advice would be appeciated.

By the way the pension is not a government pension.0

I think it depends on the rules of your pension. Did you get medical retirement because you could no longer do the job you were in(in which case no problem eg had to lift heavy weights and did your back in) or was it because you could not work full stop(in which case pension no longer valid). I think you need to get a copy of the small print and get someone in the know to check it over0
