Century Finance

Options
I received a telephone call today from Century Finance after searching online for quotes for a loan of £2000 for car purchase.
I was told by the caller that my loan had been approved, I would receive an online form to complete and that the money would be available within 5 days.
I am now very worried as I rather stupidly gave the caller my credit card details for the company to take out £69.95 as a brokerage fee.
Is this company legitimate and can I now cancel this fee.
I know I have been rather stupid and should not have given my credit card details out . Any advice gratefully received,
Thanks, Jan

The company is legitimate, however they have only agreed to look for a loan for you, they are not a loan company but a brokerage firm , no doubt they will find one which is at some astronomical rate of interest. They will have processed the payment quickly, you can request your money back but it is going to be a long process where you get passed from pillar to post by their sales reps.

There are numerous threads on these boards from people who have been scammed in the same way. These companies are parasites who prey on those in need.

Why do people use theses brokers that charge a fee ? and then moan because they've given there bank/card details to them, its not hard to use a free on-line comparison site.
