Loan Quotations - Do they leave a mark?
Hello all,
I've been trying to improve my credit file/rating over the last year or so by paying all existing credit repayments on time and in full. I have also used 'credit expert' to monitor my credit rating over the year and have found it go from Very Poor to Fair, which gives me an indication of how I'm doing.
I am now also very aware that multiple applications can damage your credit rating, even if I am rejected for credit or decide not to accept the deal offered.
I feel I'm approaching the stage where I am in the position to apply for a loan. After working so hard to improve my credit rating, I do not want my applications for a loan to bring it back down again.
How can I apply for a quotation for a loan without it marking my credit report as an application for credit?
Thanks for your help people :-)

Yes, you can get quotes with typical APRs, however, you have to bear in mind that the rate may vary depending on your individual circumstances, and is normally advised to you when you have gone through an application. Quotes only will not score you, however, as soon as you put any personal information in, there is a risk of a credit score at that point.Best Regards

Hi
these guys (ZOPA) do a "soft search" on your Equifax credit report only..this means it does not leave multiple searches on your report0
