Paying the ex's mortgage

Hi,
Can anyone help...
My partner divorced his ex-wife 2 and a half years ago. She still lives in the marital home but he pays the full mortgage (interest only) due to a court order.
She has made the house unsellable - one recent viewing places the cost of work needed at the home at around 50k....
There are solicitors letters going back and forth but to no avail. I was just wondering if anyone had been in a similar situation or had any advice about what we can do as its crippling us financially.
Thanks
Kim

has his circumstances changed since the court order was agreed and what was manageable at the time is no longer...in which case he may be able to have it revisited under a significant change of circumstances
What does the court order say? that he will pay it until xxxx , or that the house is to be sold and he is to pay it until then. If it is jointly owned is she due to get a share of the equity, if so any devaluing is affecting her also. Are there children in the home also?0
