have always had poker-straight jet-black hair, which is really thick, any curls I put in fall out within an hour, no matter what products I use, and it doesn't really colour...
I'm stuck with straight black hair forever!

Long, black, poker straight hair is my dream hair :). I doubt I will ever have it because it would involve too much heat straightening and my hair just breaks off. Have had to embrace my natural waves and curls - best not to pick an argument with my hair as it always wins :D.

You see, this is where I think experimentation is key for curlies...I find that one no good or me but agree with the tigi stuff: its totally reliable..whatever the weather etc. I also find the pink Boots cream which so many find excellent is terrible but it works for dh.
