Fantastic! The drinks are on you tonight then? :rotfl:

Sorry - debit card has just been refused. Can't understand why, those nice people told e that the money would be transferred within 4 hours of receiving my details. You don't think they could have meant out, rather than in, do you?

Should I sell it? Would I be able to do you think?

I've been entering them all on prizefinder.com & won tickets to Blenheim for the horse trials today & now this, i've only been doing the comps for a week :D

Its worth £2950, we can choose a week in any of their resorts around the world, but it is accomodation only, they have a few in the UK though, that would be totally free, if we keep it we will probably go for Wales or Cornwall.

I'm not sure what to do, if I thought that I could get around £2000 for it, i'd sell it in a heartbeat, we could have a cheap Butlins holiday for us & the kids & use the rest to pay off debts.

Will ring them on Monday & see if it is transferable, then go from there I guess.

On a more serious note than my last thread (only intended to raise awareness to the 'scams' that arrive daily on the internet) please be aware that some players in the 'time share' industry are not averse to the odd 'scam' themselves.

Did you 'win' this holiday in a genuine competition, that you entered either by answering a series of questions, or by purchasing a draw ticket?
If so, the 'prize' is probably genuine. My brother won a 'time-share' in Majorca, through a genuine raffle, with a value of over £6,000.00. However, the associated costs, which he would have had to pay, were in excess of £700 per year, plus he had to book his flights through the company. He did not particularly want to go to Majorca every year, but was fortunate in that he was able to 'sell' his prize - he got £2,000.

I think that the message is just to check everything.

Sorry to put a downer on this but it is definitely Clubseasons.( as someone has quoted above) When you ring they say that you need to pay over £300 annually and you have one weeks accomdation till 2029.
It will not be transferable and you will not be able to sell on ebay.
This is a timeshare and with the flights it will end up costing you more than a package deal
    Again sorry
£2 saver club, over £200 now:
1p a day increase saving. Paid up to middle April
    :j
  • oh pooh, was all excited when we went out this morning, I did enter lots of comps through My Offers & thats what is quoted, but yes, its Clubseasons.

I read the T&Cs this morning on the website & it says about the £300 odd maintenance fee

So fed up that its a scam, pooh, pooh, pooh!

Oh well, at least we had a nice day at the Horse Trials with the free tickets that I won.:T

Never mind, keep at it. I have a friend who won a 'round the world' plane ticket and loads of spending money on a lucky KitKat wrapper about 15 years ago! She was a hard up granny who never spent anything on herself, so it was really well deserved. She went to Australia to see her brother - first time she had ever been abroad, and she had a ball! There's no stopping her now, she's always off somewhere exciting.

  • Thank you Newleaf, I feel so embarrased that I believed I had won :o

But I will carry on, we had a totally fab day today at the Horse Trials, its something we would never have thought about doing, but we all really enjoyed it, didnt spend a penny & ate lots of goodies they were giving away as trials in the food tent :T

Fingers crossed my big win is just around the corner.
  • least u realised now rather than further down the line
