I'm have a large debt on a debit card that has built up over the students years. Its a barclays current account debit card.
I graduated 2006 and have tried slowly to pay off the debt but as i'm getting charged a whopping £30 a month for this i find myself in a 'no win situation'. I've been trying to find ways of transfering the debt to another card with 0% for 12/15months so i won't be hit with the charges.
I've tried allience and leister, nationwide, hsbc, virgin and most of the cards all seem to be only transfering debt from other credit cards (not debit).
Does anyone no of any other way to help me getting rid of the charges

The only way is a super balance transfer, you generally needs a good credit rating to get one.
Super balance is an account to credit card transfer, rather than just credit to credit.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Can you not do a credit card to current account transfer, then you would have the money sitting in your account to clear the debt.. i think there is usually a 4% charge for this.. well, there is with virgin and mbna0
