Changing Offset Mortgage from shorter term to reduced debt!????

Hi can someone help me with may sound like a simple question but one i just cant get my head round my mortgage is offset and i am on a shorter term so my payment has remained the same for years even though base rate has reduced dramatically i have cut 3yrs 11 mths from my mortgage anyway i am suffering some hardship and wold like to now change mortgage to reduced debt with would reduce my monthly payment by about £50 my question is this will then (i assume) put my mortgage back to what it was ie remove the 3yrs 11 mths i have built up and spread my payments out question is will i pay more interest on this? what would be best idea to leave at same overpaying by £50 a month to save rocking the boat or do reduced debt pay |£50 less i do intend to pay off once in a better financial position so does the 4 years added on really matter im just worried being spread out my interest per month will go up, thanks in advance!

if your non-mortgage debts charge a higher rate of interest than your mortgage then pay as much as possible towards your other debts otherwise pay as much as possible towards your mortgage
