just applied for a job. Wed Editor. For once it doesn't need really in-depth script writing/teccy experience and is 22k so that would be ok salary wise until I could get something better so I can get my mortgage re-fixed when the rate starts going up. I think it will have a lot of applications and it's the third job I've applied for with this organisation and I didn't get a sniff at an interview for the other 2 even though I had the experience. They were both in different departments though, so nothing ventured etc and it matches my experience at my last job where half my role was webmaster. Doesn't close for 2 weeks though.

BB - you've applied, so you've done what you can for now. I take it you mean Web not Wed.....and the salary sounds decent. Hope you get an interview....third time lucky an all

Oh, I've got a bit of good news. Got a letter about a week and a half ago saying I'm entitled to 70p IS a week from the 25th.....which is laughable. Then I got a letter from the council saying cos I get IS until Sept they're paying ALL my rent for the next two months! Bonus, as it means I'll get back out of my overdraft and have a bit of money for Finland! Huzzah!

:rotfl: I would be the most inappropriate and unexperienced Wed anything with my track record of 12 years engaged and now with someone who is never going near a ring again!

Salary would mean I could pay the bills and have enough for a small saving each month. I need to be on around 28k to get a mortgage with someone (or a new offer from my current lender). I fixed just as I was being made redundant and was on 28k then. I guess though I might now need to be on more as things have tightened up and I guess the multiples might have been lowered. I'm ok for now but when the rate starts to go up it will be a race against the clock to get a job with a good enough salary before my mortgage gets too expensive.

    Right, better go........:(

Mind you it's quite breezy in my garden this evening which is lovely......just wish some of the breeze would blow in and take that muggy yuck feeling out of the house.
