5.1 speaker set at 9.99 + juicer, bread maker @ superdrug 70% off etc

Hi there superdrug are doing a clearnce and they have bread make juicer and 5.1 speakers at 9.99 each.

They had a dvd player at 19.99 and also some other little gift type things like small radio with stand etc load more but these did not seem a bargain.

  • Hi all,

I've just been out and got the speakers. They're not spectacular , however ... for 9.99 they're not at all bad. I got a set of the 2.1 speakers in Tesco the other night which feel better in terms of build quiality and have a slightly better sound but they're £15.

All in all I'm very happy with them. I've got them hooked up to my family room tv and they're neatly hidden away. A damned site better than the TV speakers and at the price worth a punt.

Something worth noting is that there's no surround decoder. You need a DVD player that will give individual speaker output for these to work.

    They're silver by the way.

... and that's all I have to say about that.

  • Bought the speakers today at Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester.
They're white and decent enough for the money. They'll play anything with a headphone/line-out jack but an earlier poster is correct to say you'll need a decoder for true surround sound.
    Thanks to OP
