    Hiya

Yes it can wait - you were sent a notice of intended default which would give you 14 days to contact them (usually) so stop stressing and ring Wednesday, make a payment there and then and then stick to the agreement - make sure you ask them when you ring and before you pay "does this mean that no default will be registered against me with the Credit Agencies" - as they will be recording the call you need this verbally confirmed as proof.

They will not default you if you contact them to arrange settlement, that is not in their best interests at all so they won't do it. Just sort this sooner than later yea? :D

Thanks for your help. I called them anyway and they were helpful! However, I cannot believe the mess I got myself into...they said that I could pay them back £100 a month but to clear just £400 over the o/d it would TAKE ME 9 months to clear the £400 because this would incl £500 worth of charges whilst I am over my o/d!! Oh my...I could not believe it!!!

I said I would do a two-part promise which will mean that I pay back £300 on Weds, £300 next Weds and that would include all charges.

Least it is getting sorted but then...I will start on the nightmare of actually paying off JUST the overdraft! :(

    Hiya

Sorry, can you please confirm exactly the amount owing here? That does not add up and they cannot add such silly charges.... Please give a breakdown of what is owing, i.e. the total amount now - also confirm if you asked them to cease interest and charges whilst you're negotiating repayment - they CAN do this you know? :D

Hi there, I asked them to cease the interest and charges whilst I am repaying back in the two part promise and they said they COULD NOT! And it was 'policy' so they will STILL continue to add on charges.

    Basically it goes like this:

    I have a £500 overdraft
I am £404.88 over this overdraft and have been since 30th April after they charged me £155.00 for being about £40 over my o/d and since I did not pay up the charges this has then spiralled out of control to being £904.88 overdraft.

It has been like this up to now...and they are still incurring charges of £5 daily for it!

I said to the lady I could pay off £300 this month but she said that even then, I still have to pay £59 worth of charges for last month and then next July my charges would be £155.00 for being over the overdraft an ENTIRE month...

So I have an extra £200 worth of charges to pay even if I pay off £300 to take me down to a £600 over draft...

Since last September I have incurred £550 worth of charges and fees :( at least..I just looked.. Because of the £1 daily charge thing spiralling out of control!!
