If the clothes are just going to get ruined anyway, why not go to Primark. Some of their stuff is actually quite nice, especially the kids clothes, and it is priced to be almost disposable! I agree M&S clothes are great, but they are just as easy to ruin as any others if they are treated wrongly.

thought i'd bump this as I want to know the same as the OP did last month. Next, Debenhams, House of Fraser, River Island, New Look all have sales on now or on sat (Next) but nothing from Marks and Spencer.

Last year the summer sale was 23rd July so hopefully it'll be the same this year!

    Hi,

Traditionally M&S open their Summer Sale after Next, usually in the 3rd week of July (tho last year it was delayed till the 4th week).

In 2009, the Sale prices started showing online before midnight on Wednesday 22nd July, in stores at 9AM on the Thursday.

In 2008, the Sale started online before midnight on Wednesday 16th July...

So it's due next week or the week after.

I'd suggest you load your online basket now, and check the prices showing online between 11 PM & 1AM next Tues/Wed/Thurs, and again the following week...

  • Pretty sure that the M&S site remembers what you have put into your basket until you actively delete it, so this should work.

    I overheard the 22nd too.

Re: Vouchers, if you want to use them online. I think (this is not gospel) you can politely ask cust serv to transfer them onto a gift card. The gift card code (back of card) allows you to purchase online.
I remember I did this with our Wedding vouchers when I got fed up with carrying so many.
