I work fulltime and freelance. I would like to reg for VAT for my freelance work. Am I allowed to do this as I am in fact fulltime for another company.

Just to be pedantic it seems that both the above replies are actually correct.
It is true that it is the individual that is registered. But he is registered in respect of all his supplies of goods and services made in the course of business.
So it could be said it is all his businesses that are registered, including any future ones.
Supplies of services as an employee are not made in the course of business.
