Can someone tell me how to do a tiny url - to be able to tweet details of comp
type bit .ly (minus the space) into your address bar, go to the website and copy and paste the link in. There's others but that's one of the most common. Tweetdeck and other programs shorten links for you automatically which is easier. (Tweetdeck also has a filter which is great for finding comp tweets)
