Hi, we have lots of burgers and sausages which haven't been cooked but which came out of the freezer today. We have thought of sausages casserole, sausages sandwiches, some burgers in burger rolls. What else could we do,some ideas that can be done in the next day or two and ones that could be cooked then frozen and taken out at a later date would be great please. Thanks:money:

Cook sausages and then freeze in batches so that you can make some things at a later date. I did this and recently made a risotto (well sausages, rice and veg mix) that my kids ate. My next dish is sausage casserole.
With the burgers I'd squish them down and make spag bol - always a winner in our house.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

Remove the sausage meat from the casings, add some indian spices, roll into meatballs & fry till golden.Serve as a spicy pork Kofta curry or in Naan bread with a salad.0

Personally, if they had been properly defrosted in a fridge and stored like that all the time I would refreeze. Otherwise cook some of the sausages whole, slice some up etc and then freeze. They will re-heat in a microwave no problem.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

maybe you could take the sausages of their casings and mix with the burger meat and some breadcrumbs herbs and perhaps and egg to bind and make a meatloaf? It freezes well0

I like adding chopped burgers and sausages to an omelette. You could freeze the chopped meat easily enough.
Another thing i like doing to sausages, is peeling off the skin and coating them in the powder for barbeque ribs. Any butcher will sell you some of it.0 -
If they are proper 100% meat burgers (shaped minced beef) you can cut in half or quarters and roll in to meatballs, serve with pasta and tomato based sauce, the morrison's 50p bbq burgers are brilliant for this.
As for the preformed burgers (the ones with added everything) i have no idea.
Sausages, chop them up and use in a stir fry, scotch eggs, sausage rolls.0 -
