Sweet and Sour Pork in SC?

Options
Due to the unprecendented success of doing joints of meat in the slow cooker, I wondered if anyone had a recipe for Sweet and Sour Pork for the SC. I just looked on the recipe index and the only one used sauce from a jar and I was hoping to make my own.
Alternatively has anyone got any other suggestions for what to do with two packs of value pork chops?
Thanks in Advance

Grill the chops, or oven bake (i prefer this - less messy) and have toppings - like breadcrumbs and pesto, cheddar and apple, wholegrain mustard.
You can do sweet and sour in the SC use a tin of toms, a tin of pineapple (small) an onion, tbs vinegar, ginger, garlic and a veg stock cube. Job's a good'un.

I'm not sure I'd bother - you should be able to make S & S pork in a wok in about 10 mins.

Stir fried pork, cooked on a high heat in a wok, would definitely be cooked in 10 minutes.

    Hi Bizzimum,

Sorry I don't have a slow cooker recipe for sweet and sour pork, but this is one my family love.........sorry for lack of proper quantities, but I sort of guess the amounts as I go along. This sounds more complicated than it is.:o

    Pork chops or steaks
1 level tsp English mustard (or 1/4 tsp English mustard powder).
1 medium onion (can be fried or added to the SC uncooked).
    1 garlic clove crushed
    Black pepper
Homemade stock or 1 pork stock cube dissolved in a little water.
Double/whipping/single cream.......whatever you have, although single is more likely to curdle.
Cornflour...aprox 1 tsp mixed with water.
You can play about with this recipe....sometimes I add grated cheese or white wine.

Dry fry pork chops to colour them.
    Pop into the SC
Add mustard, onion, garlic, black pepper and stock.
Add grated cheese or white wine if using.
    Add cream.
And finally a little cornflour dissolved in water to thicken.

Cook for approx 6 hours. If the sauce is too thin remove the pork and keep warm and use more cornflour dissolved in white wine/water/or milk to thicken.

This is really good served with mashed potatoes and brocolli or another green veg.

Yep, definitely - heat the oil until it's smoking and have the pork cut into strips, stir-fry for about 5 mins, then add the rest of the ingredients - 'nother 4-5 mins cooking and it should be done. Much more than that and the meat will go tough.
