What party song/songs MUST be played at your wedding reception?

OH and I are metal fans so we're intertwining our music with the standard stuff so as not to alienate the guests

There is a list of songs to be played and one for songs to be avoided at all cost lest the bride get very very angry. I really want Dusty's I Only Want to be with you.

This is very much what we have done. Although my dad really likes Lady Gaga so I have to have some for him. I think I may have to give the DJ some of my fave tunes as they are a little unique.

For me it has to be Michael Jackson bits - am a massive fan and the dj is someone we used to work with and he already said he will make sure there its lots played! lol
apart from that - think all the classic 80's cheese and 90's dance bits.
think me and OH are doing a 'different' first dance - bit like the evolution of dance you can see on youtube but we pick our own songs, so we will have "our song" The Real Thing; you to me are everything played too.

Def agree with the Queen - dont stop me now, oh and Bon Jovi living on a Prayer.
Maybe the macarena/saturday night/cha cha slide will be in the mix as well!!

If oops up side you head song is played i wont be getting on the floor thats for sure! lol.

We are putting song requests in the invites so hopefully we can get a good mix of them on a list too!

Am a *huge* take that fan so lots of their songs will be a must! Lots of stuff to get people dancing I think, a bit of Steps never did any harm ;-) No Kylie though, can't bear her music!

no idea. most of the songs i like are prob a bit inappropriate for wedding. lol. h2b is in charge of evening entertainment.
