Nail varnish on finger & toe nails! Must they match??

Hi all
Quick question...
I'm going on holiday next week and am doing a little pre holiday beauty work (dye hair, bit of fake tan, wax legs... you get the idea
)
And I was just wondering what to do about nail varnish!
Should finger and toe nails always be in the same colour?
Contrasting colours? or be completely different?
Or does this not matter to anyone??? lol
Thanks for any tips

I do not have them matching. I would wear much brighter colours on my toes than on my hands, so go for the bright stuff on toes and something more subtle on my hands.0

They should either match, or have something bold on the toes and just a clear gloss on nicely manicured fingernails. 'Mix and match' is quite tacky.Gone ... or have I?0

Hi,
This is a problem I have! lol
If I'm wearing a more neutral shade or french manicure I have it on both finger and toe nails.
If I wear a really bright colour on my fingers I have a slightly lighter shade of the same colour on my toes or the other way round, as long as they don't clash.
If I go for 2 different colours I think it can work as long as they're not too drastically different or they compliment each other.
Have a good holiday!0 -
Do what you think looks good. No rules about this stuff anymore. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

For me they absolutely have to match! I'd be really uncomfortable if they didn't.0

I think it can be a bit ageing (depending on the shade) if they match. A bit like some older ladies that you see who always seem to wear an identically matching lipstick and nail varnish shade! As long as they compliment each other, or clash intentionally in a striking way, I don't see why they shouldn't be different. What matters is how you like it.0

Depends on the person. I prefer being my own person so the last week I've been walking around with bright red nails and luminous green toes :rotfl:0

I'm currently sporting Attitude nail polish Diva on toes and Berry Burlesque on nails.
If I was going out for a special occasion both would have to match, but for every day it doesn't matter!
I love Attitude nail polish. It's only £3.95...see Ebay...and it is the only polish that doesn't chip on me. It's amazing as I only need one coat and have to take it off because of nail growth.0
