Hi
Wondering if anyone can help - would appear that the water from the bath combined with not lifting the bath mat to let it dry has resulted in mould on the lino floor. I would say it is about 30 cm's x 10cm's
I am gutted - we are in rented accomodation, the letting agents are really strict, luckily they are not due round for 5 months.
I have tried bleach and water mix, then I tried neat bleach but that made no difference.
Have searched google and an american website suggested getting a wax remover (or something like that) to take the top of the lino off which would then get rid of the mould :rotfl:
So does anyone have any other ideas I could try?
Thanks so much
EE

Try Milton sterilising fluid. I've recently rescued a couple of items that had been left in a wardrobe that was damp and it worked a treat. I would make up quite a strong solution (maybe even neat) and leave it on there for a few hours.
Might be worth testing it on a patch though to make sure it doesn't ruin the lino!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Oooppppsss!!
Brought some Milton, tested a patch which then spread and ta da  it has taken the top of the lino off and turned the floor white!!
Don't think it would have been a problem if the lino had not been cream!!
Not sure if anything would have worked anyway - guess this teaches me a lesson. I must lift the bath mat every night!! (well so should everyone else in the family!)
Will look at prices for lino next week.

Use a white vinegar/water mix if it happens again.
I wouldn't fork out for new lino, get a duck board instead, much cheaper?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.
