Six packs of Pepsi Max half price - went down there earlier and guess what - they have sold out - now what a surprise!!!!
  • I also found Typhoo tea bags - pack of 160 for £1.51.
This wasn't in the offer leaflet, it wasn't on Somerfield's website either, there was just a discreet shelf edge label.
    Anyway, I stocked up.. ;)

Thanks for that, thats got more than what was in the leaflet. Some of the things are a pretty good price, others are still cheaper in Quality Save, aka Home Bargains.

In Asda yesterday they had the 6 pack of Pepsi - all types - for £1.98,( I think it was) or 2 packs for £2 !!

Re Somerfield - I received an e-mail update from them with some of their latest offers - spotted the robinsons fruit & barley at half price, so already planning a trip there today.
What great marketing. Even if I have not been in for a while they can tempt you in....and no cost re posting flyers thru the door or tv ads.

I KNOW that even if I only go in for one or 2 things I will come out with loads, they have some really good offers, and some really nice sell-by-date reductions.....afternoon down to half price, and by evening down to 75% off - combine this with the 2 for £5 or BOGOFs, and I've had some FANTASTIC shopping trips to Sommerfield
Also notice that on the Newspaper thread next weeks offer of the free dvd is for collection in Somerfield, which is much more convenient for me than Smiths......trouble is its kids dvds, but I may collect them anyway and give them to friends etc
  • Spotted today Mars and Snickers snack size on offer two for £2.00 (display said £1.69 each). Went to till with two of each and for some reason was charged less than £4.00 (£3.84 I think) - two of the packs went through at £1.61 each (possibly the mars) and then they discounted by £1.38 for each two packs.

Didn't know that - do Tesco do the same?

How do supermarkets get away with advertising projects that 'tend' to be out of stock when you get there?
