When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D:D

:jMorning to everyone who posts (and lurks)! Thought I would start the thread this morning seeing as I'm up with the larks :D

Yay its the weekend :j two whole days of pleasing myself and unwinding :D

So today I have to schedule in time to do fun things (oh not impressed with the things I wanted to do! spare room etc etc!) Still trying to keep list realistic, don't want to spend the day working, but the DFW stuff is soooooooo addictive, especially seeing as my DFD is sooo close I can almost smell it! :D
  • repot the plants have done one :o
  • [STRIKE]water all plants[/STRIKE]
  • spare room: vacuum, [STRIKE]make up bed,[/STRIKE] put up blinds mission! When we started doing blinds realised we needed hack saw bits, fittings for the blinds were missing and thought we'd get another couple of bits so off we pop to B&Q. No need to worry about a shower as justing popping there... que multiple trips to different shops (including going into the high street) Was not fun! But on the brighter side we did finally find some.
  • [STRIKE]fixed arcatrave in spare room[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]sorted through the freezer to work out how to use up stuff in there so & wokred out meals for the next 4 days[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]paid ds to clean fridge, sweep floors & empty bins [/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]go to tip with clutter that is just rubbish![/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]drop off a couple of bags at the CS[/STRIKE]
  • work out shopping needed & go to super market
  • play tennis :j
  • maybe go for a walk
  • watch a film
  • maybe go for a drink this evening
  • list 2 things on ebay
  • [STRIKE]borrowed nbeighbours shears and cut back millitant hedge :D[/STRIKE]
  • [STRIKE]made smoothies using strawberry & juice from work [/STRIKE]:D
  • just bought a book on Amazon ("Wife interupted" have wanted to read it for ages!) but used my Harris Poll gift voucher so technically it didn't cost me anything :j
ok so the list is small enough to be achievable ;) happy saturday everyone I'll check back later x

Morning DNMS and everyone else to follow!
What a beautiful day today, I am looking forward to my small things today...

    Today I will:
    - [STRIKE]Work 6 hours over time (£85.49)[/STRIKE] 15 minutes to go
    - [STRIKE]Check banking[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Pay CC bills[/STRIKE] paid rent also
-[STRIKE] Work out remaining until I get TC's through[/STRIKE] shuffled some things around, does mean putting *some* stuff on CC until TC's come through but this should happen before interest hits
    - Go to DM's after work to see allotment and all my brothers/nephew/DM/DD/chooks - lunch will be rowdy!
    - Enjoy fresh organic strawberries from said allotment
    - [STRIKE]Catch up on invoicing from yesterday as yesterday was a write-off, had our main dealer management system for 1 HOUR!!!! Had to do as much as I could in 1 hour and everything else manually[/STRIKE] good day today! Bonus payment next month *should* be £620
    - Attempt a meal plan and thus shopping list using mysupermarket. Might get this home delivered by Mr T's?
    - Take boxes from work to do packing of ex's stuff and try to organise my house
    - [STRIKE]Try to keep cool today as we are in a big glass showroom and our air con isn't working! [/STRIKE] it's been alright!

    Have a lovely saturday everyone!

    Good Morning everyone,

I used to post on this thread all the time and need the discipline of posting my list so I can get through it. I have loads to get done today as I am out tomorrow.

    Here's my list for today:
    • Washing - 2 loads.
    • Ironing - I have the hugest pile that it is going to take some time:o
    • Clean Bathroom
    • Wash kitchen floor
    • Write report for work
    • Start to sort through the wedding photos (got married last month!)
    • Confirm hair appointment
    • Call friend with free minutes
    • Call cousin and catch up
    • Try on Bras ordered online and decide which I am keeping
    • Order items from other online site
    • Get legs waxed - that way I can wear skirts to work next week and therefore double my wardrobe!
    • If we have time do a grocery shop and maybe go an find a new airer as mine is really playing up (or falling down!)
    Have a great day.
