I love my Panasonic SD253. It has been very easy to use and haven't had a failed loaf. The instructions are full of recipes too and it has a separate nut/raisin dispenser which means it puts these in for you too! I am very attached to this even though I have only had it for a week!
The cheapest price I found was £79.97 including delivery from Amazon. It was £99 everywhere else. I can't speak for other brands but I would definitely recommend this.0 -
I've also got am SD253, currys online are selling it at £76.97 and my local store price matched. I've love it and have never had a duff loaf (well perhaps one but that was user error as I'd forgotten the yeast oh and the one where I forgot to put the paddle in..doh!)0

Here's a third vote for the Panasonic 253:D I've had mine for ten months, made at least one loaf a day since I've had it, and not one duff one yet! Had fun trying out lots of different varieties too.[0

if you don't need a nut dispenser then choose the sd252 Amazon price £61.99 free postage and packing.
I will be saving up for one of these in the near future.

I can recommend the Panasonic SD253 as well. I know 5 people who have them (including myself). We've all had them for at least 18 months with no problems at all. I haven't used a shop bought loaf of bread since I got mine.
I put mine on before I go to work so when I get home I walk into a house that smells of freshly baked bread!0 -

Ive just done this too! I made Banana Loaf which meant taking the paddle out and then set it to make an ordinary white loaf and forgot to put the paddle back in! I put the paddle back in and reset it and am now waiting to see how it turns out!!!0 -
Hi Teresita,
If you have a look at the The Complete Breadmaking Collection you'll find quite a few threads recommending breadmakers.

 I wouldn't even buy a bread maker. Mrs Bean got one used it a few times and its stuck in the bottom of the cupboard. Bread is cheap enough to buy.....I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0
