Hi All,
Was looking for some advice...
Yesterday, i had my Employment Tribunal Hearing due to an ex employer not paying wages for the time i worked there. He did not attend the hearing, and i won the case based on the evidence i provided as he still hasnt paid me.
However, i received an email from my ex employer this afternoon stating:
'Your so called 'win' means nothing until after I lodge my appeal and a
further hearing takes place'
Can he appeal against a claim that has already been judged? Even after he didnt bother turning up? And hasnt paid me?!
Im so confused, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Probably not - he is buying time I suspect. The grounds for appeal are very limited, and I doubt, having failed to attend, that he has any. I would ignore this e-mail and start chasing payment as quickly as you can - I would be slightly worried about it if he is trying to buy time, as to why he is doing it. If a valid appeal is lodged, and I really do doubt it, you will be notified by the relevant office - not by him.0
