The film wasn`t that good. Why did they stick the action in America - I had expected it to be in Scotland like the original.
I think the popcorn offer is for all films this month. Not sure though.According to my daughter,a regular drink & a regular popcorn is £6.50.Thats why we always go to woolies first and stock up on sweeties.0 -

Most large cinemas make their profit on their confectionery and not the film ticket. If freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will have freedom.0 -
This is indeed true, the film distributor gets almost ALL the money from the ticket, money saving is money saving but they are well within their rights to stop you takin your supermarket stuff into the theatre!!0

I always find using some food/nut allergy as an excuse that anything they sell will cause you to need an ambulance which might put off the other cinema-goers works a treat!
Works best if your sweets/food are decanted into clear bags to make it look like it is not an off the shelf product you just bought from woolies 5 minutes before (you can always take bags with you to woolies).
If they point to a 'no food policy' talk about diabetes/hypoglycemia. This tactic works *especially* well if you buy one overpriced bottle of water from them as then at least they are less likely to think you are just abusing the system ("The water is all you sell that I can have, honest") but a pound for a bottle of water vs saving £10-15 for a family cinema outing on food is a good trade off.0 -
We usually just put the stuff into a backpack. Give the kids something to drink in their own bottles and some pick & mix and everyone is happy.
Still shocked to hear that cinemas make no money on the ticket. Ours is over £6 per ticket!

Can I ask if you regularly offers? We got those vouchers today and we've had 2 other deal vouchers since joining in 2001. When we signed up, the leaflet said you would get lots of benefits like special offers and preview mystery screenings etc but 5 years on we've had a total of 3 offers.
Granted, the chain has changed hands now and it may get better, but is it just us not getting things or have you not had much in the way of "benefits" other than as many films as you like?
Thanks0 -
I only got my pass a few months ago and this is the first one i've had. Got one tonight when i saw 'Adrift'.0

Mr Blonde - Only had my pass since June,so no offers yet.I do get an e-mail every month or so,but it usually tells me about a film I`ve already seen.
I think the passes are good value. My daughters go at least twice a week with theirs.Very cheap for them as I bought the passes for their birthday.0 -
Sorry to be a dunse but I've only have my pass since May do these offers come through the post in voucher form or can you just show your card at the confec stand to get the offer?? Thanks0
