Cooperative ISA and CRF

Hi all,

Was discharged July last year and had no problems opening a bank account with cooperative.
I need to save some hard earned cash, i rang the cooperative to ask if it was poss i could have a savings account as well as having my cooperative card cash bank account, they explained it might be possible but it would involve a credit reference search, i agreed to this and the search came back as a referral. I thought it was end of story and was quite negative that i would not be eligible.

Two working days later i went on-line and was surprised that the cooperative have opened me a ISA account...Great.

Just wanted to know if ISA accounts are scored on your credit reference file? Hoping this is the case as am i right in thinking it would help my credit file look a bit more healthier should i need it in the future.
I updated my credit file last year (nightmare) and hoping this will help.

Thanks
:D MOVE ALONG........ nothing to see here..!

you shouldnt be scored for a savings account? but maybe coz you were a "basic" customer and now opening a new "full" product they do a score? as an ex barclays employee our savings accounts were not scored, neither are they now as a nationwide employee but i dunno about the co-op! seems a bit odd. Just thought i'd let you know anyway!
