I use No 7. I started because I have sensitive skin & this brand doesn't irritate it. Although there are a couple of things I can't use, for example the liquid concealer & the eye shadow.

I'm 56 & people tell me I look a good 10 years younger so it seems to have worked for me. :rotfl:

I think good skin is a combination of genetics and staying out of the sun/not smoking rather than what you put on it, although I have always moisturised.

I used Body Shop stuff a lot in my teens/early 20s and I liked the Vitamin E and aloe range.
  • As a formulator of cosmetic products, I would say that the No 7 range is a pretty good offering for the price. The Body Shop range is very dated and not all that natural, but the body butters are pretty good value. On the whole two okay ranges, but I always feel the Body Shop is charging a quid or two more than I would consider good value.

Neither of them are very interesting or innovative. But if you just want products that do the job there isn't anything dramatically wrong with them.

(I haven't tried every single one of their products obviously, so there may be gems and horrors and I am not aware of.)

I don't like the no7 products at all, but I do like the boots time delay products

I rate protect and protect from no7, doesn't leave my skin greasy but keeps it moisturised

Both have quite large skincare ranges so I'm guessing you'll not come across anyone whos tried them all. What type of product are you interested in from the ranges and what is your skin type? Might help you get more relevant answers:)

Both ranges are overpriced but there are glitches and grabbits usually available on both to reduce the price.

I kind of like the No7 famous protect and perfect serum but my issuse with No7 is that it's almost as expensive as the cheaper items from Clarins/Clinique, etc.

  • I use N7 P&P skin serum and the matching night cream. I have also used their eyecream and eye make up remover before and can recommend it.

I'm not that keen on the Body Shop. I find their stuff just to smelly. I like to smell like my perfume and not of all sorts of different fruity smells! Having said that I sometimes use their body sprays and their make up brushes are excellent!
