I got the email. It also asked me to chose another thread but said "incase" they are out of stock. I just chose the same colour- there is only one I like/which is red. I was not told either way if I was or was not included in the trial, just sent to a new page to invite my friends. As far as I am aware, there is a closing date in mid July and its not 'till then that they make the choices.
