Free Mobile upgrades

Quick one, if you get a free upgrade on your mobile on a yearly contract, just punt it on to E-bay! If, like most of us you have at least one, and dont need the latest all singing job, take the upgrade anyway and sell it on

Been doing this for years. Cheap way to knock some cash of your next years line rentals. Unfortunately most phone providers will offer you a much worse deal as an upgrade compared to what they offer new customers. The secret is to actually go through the entire process to cancel your contract with them, and then usually at the last minute their "customer retention team" will contact you and offer you the same deals as new customers get.0 -
For the record, im on pay monthly £35 pm
I called my provider a couple of weeks ago asking for a S700i for my yearly upgrade ===> "I'm afraid that will cost you £214.99 to upgrade, we do offer the K700i though, which is free..."
I dont want the damn k700i, i wanted the s700i, so I contacted the customer retentions department (option 'if you would like to leave us, please press _')
I didnt mention anything about wanting to leave, I just said that Dial-a-phone do the same monthly contract but with a free s700i, they eventually agreed to match that deal.
I got that free phone, and for some reason 2 days after i got my s700i, I get a dhl guy knocking on my door giving me *another* package, similar to the first one - I signed for it, and found it to be **another** s700i.
the extra phone didnt show up on my bill, which is good... Anybody want an s700i..?YO!0 -
