URGENT: casserole too spicy - what can I do?
soba

I've made lamb tagine for tea, and whilst DH and I like spicy food I know the kids will pull their faces. Think I overdid it with the chilli powder. I've put a raw potato in, in the hope it'll draw some of the spiciness out like it does with saltiness, but any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
soba

Plain yogurt would be my suggestion, either mixed in or served on the side.

Sugar is the perfect thing to reduce the chili...trust me...hubby makes his chilli with scotch bonnets lolol
And serve with a glass of milk as this helps too.

So adding a bit of sugar now should do the trick? I'll get the tate and lyle out now! Do hope so, cos it smells fantastic. Even the neighbours are drooling!!CarolnMalky wrote:Sugar is the perfect thing to reduce the chili...trust me...hubby makes his chilli with scotch bonnets lolol

Thanks CarolnMalky, I've added the sugar, it'd be a shame if the whole family couldn't enjoy it.0
