Windows Media Player should play the mp3's for you - in fact, it is usually the default player on Windows PC's!
What happens when you double click one of the MP3's on the CD - do you get any error messages?

WMP does come up
thereis a list of the contents of the cd
nothing happens.... bar, poota went wobbly and screen got 'bigger', shut down, had to restart in 'normal mode'
ooh, er...
just didnt seem to like it0 -
Do you mean it doesn't start playing when you put the disc in?
Solution; go to My Computer or Computer, and 'Explore' or 'Open' the drive in which you've inserted the disc. This should give you a list of mp3 files, assuming other party involved has successfully burned them.
With this list of files, you can right-click one, or a selected group, and in the sub-menu, select 'Play'. This should kick off your default mp3 player program, in most cases, Windoze Media Player.
Tell us what you're doing to play them, and any error messages or dialogue boxes you're getting.0 -
Oops, we crossed.
Need more detail - with the CD, open the CD drive, right-click on one of the files, and select properties - confirm that you definitely have .mp3 files on the CD......0 -

Forget Autoplay
Do as googler says above......0 -
Sounds like your son has used cheap crap blanks to record the data on, get him to make the disc again but using quality media instead.auto play WMP comes up
