Hi, does anyone use and rate Head and Shoulders? Its always being advertised on TV as being recommended by hair dressers but I have heard that it strips hair colour yet they do a version for colour treated hair too so it must be OK.
I could use either the Citrus one for greasy hair, the one for dry and damaged, the one for coloured or the one for sensitive scalp so a bit spoilt for choice J

The citrus one definitely strips colour - I use it for that purpose! However, it is a very good shampoo (and smells fab!). I would give the coloured one a try.Gone ... or have I?0

I had dandruff and no supermarket anti dandruff shampoos would shift it.
Washed hair 4 times in a week with head and shoulders and it's all gone!
I never thought it would live up to its claims but it does!
I got the normal bog standard, but I was tempted to get the citrus one. The normal one does smell lovely and clean like dmg has saidTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I used to use this but it really does strip the hair colour, even the one that not supposed to, I used to love the smooth n silky one but alas no longer:(Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

It really isn't recommended by hairdressers, only for stripping colour - that and washing up liquid.
A few hairdressers I know absolutley despise the stuff but my OH uses it with no probs.0 -
totally agree about stripping colour - the one for coloured hair STILL stripped my colour when i had dark hair not so good!0

i use it every couple of weeks. Every so often my scalp goes a bit flaky and itchy so use it a couple of times and its sorts it out no problem. I find i cant use it all the time as it makes my hair really dry (mine is highlighted).March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

a friend at work had a problem with a semi permemant home dye looking terrible on her light hair - another work mate contacted her hairdresser sister who suggested repeated washing with head and shoulders to fade the colour - it worked with repeated washing in the evening and dramaticly reduced the colour - not sure how many applications were done that evening though.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I use the colour safe one - I wear a lot of dark suits so dandruff is my worst nightmare!
Doesn't seem to strip my colour but I do have it redone every 6 weeks or so.0 -
Thanks all, I think I'll keep away from it then if it strips colour.0
