I understood that there was months free trial available. After that you had to either pay per month or be a Times Subscriber.
I am a subscriber & got a letter a few days back telling me the free period was over & it was now a subsciber/pay site.Maybe there is a free route bit I am not aware of this.
I have entered quite a few comps on the Times + site over the last six months or so but I didn't post them up as I thought it was a pay type site.No criticism of GB as there may a free way in?

I think it's difficult to define. The board rules state free to enter competitions only which doesn't appear to be but if there is a one month free trial available then some people will be able to enter for free. I imagine in a month's time there won't be any The Times competitions posted as all the regulars will have used up their free trial.

Surely they will still be allowed to be posted with a note saying (Times Subscribers only) and compers who have chosen to subscribe can enter; it's like a comp for Nat West customers only or such like, isn't it?

The debatable point is that Martin specified that this board is for free comps only. Now, i know that people do post 'nominal spend' comps, and this could be classed as one of those, but as it is a £1 every week, im not sure if it would qualify.

FTR, i dont mind either way, as long as its specified in the title so that people can make a choice if they want to enter or not.

I'd go with that compingcat. So long as we know that it's for paying members I cannot see a problem.I've entered loads of comps with the Times Plus site but never thought to post them on here.
It's only in the last few weeks that Time Plus membership gave way to full Times membership though. Before the pay web site went live Time Plus was just for subscribers.
Re the free trial I think it ends for all at the end of June
