minimum wage

hiya

not sure where to post this i'm useless at maths can anyone tell me what my take home pay will be for 40 hours based on the minimum wage

i'm well over a young persons tax allowenc and i don't qualify for any tax credits / benefits etc so my take home pay will be what i have to live on

ta if anyone can help

  • it all depends on your age. so check online say on google do a serch for min wage then you will see what yours will be :o

    Taking tax and NI into account and assuming as you're well above a young persons tax allowance, your minimum wage is £5.80 per hour.....

    £175 takehome a week is what I would expect (using rough calculations)

  • I'm afraid I don't agree with the answers you have had. Tax and NIC on a basic 40 hrs at £4.80 would bring your take home pay to £197 pw. However, if this is the first time you have worked this year and have no previous taxable income, your tax will be less than this. I cannot advise more without figures.
