Wellwoman cancer insurance

Has anyone got this?
Am quite interested in it but how good is this policy?
Do they actually pay out if you do become ill or is it like PPI?
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Ive got it - I havent got the stuff to hand, but Im fairly sure it pays out when you are diagnosed.

Thanks Trudi. Do you know anyone who has this too and has (unfortunately) had to claim? I think its a great idea for peace of mind but I don't know anyone who has it.

I dont Im afraid - I took it out because I have breast cancer in the family, and Ive had some cells that have been "unusual" in my smears - and I thought it would be sensible to have some sort of back up. (they dont ask any medical history when you apply, before anyone accuses me of anything!!)

There must be more people than just me with it though - I dont believe Im the only MSEr with it !!!

I have been considering taking this plan out for a couple of months ever since I saw the ad on TV, but like you skypie I was wondering if it was any good and whether they do actually pay out, I hope someone does reply as I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has been diagnosed and paid out.

We don't have a history of cancer in the family, but a close friend of my brother's was diagnosed a few years back, and I think having a policy like this would give you peace of mind in an awful situation like that.

Sorry I don't have any answers as to whether this plan is good or not...but will be watching thread to see if anyone replies. :)
