In need of a new refrigerator/freezer

Hi! I hope I'm posting to the right area now (*thanks debs626!). I'm new to MSE. Not only that, but I'm new to the U.K. and need your help please. As a wedding gift, my future MIL has offered to buy us a new frigerator/freezer!
I don't need/want anything fancy but would like one that is frost-free and A-rated. It to have to be from somewhere that delivers AND more importantly removes the old one. Thank you!

Have you looked in John Lewis (either Oxford Street or Bluewater) or
http://www.johnlewis.com/Electrical/Area.aspx
they usually have a good selection and deliver and take away the old one.
If you see one you like you could try googling it for a price match. Local councils usually charge £25 to take away old fridges.
By the way, welcome to the UK and the boards0 -
Thanks Lolly! The board's terrific. First saw Martin on TV a few month's back and have been hooked since. Will be sure to check John Lewis and also checking board for any codes that might offer free delivery!

Spotted this one at Currys
not sure that they take away your old one but I'm sure there are discounts to be had and free delivery too.

Comet clearance centre: http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/
Also check Kelkoo (https://www.kelkoo.co.uk) for cheapest online prices.0 -
I had no idea Comet offered an auction on items. I'm working via process of elimination as I have certain dimensions to stick to (knocks out a lot of what I wish I could get!
) Thanks for sharing such great tips! 0
