Went back to Abbeycentre tesco the other day having been put on there wait list. And. Sold out. Now how could they have sold out? I was 8 on the list and they had over 10 phones. they where waiting for the micro Sim cards now the phones sold out? At the time I nearly said to them give me a regular Sim card and I'll buy it now. You can cut a normal sim to Micro sim size. I'm thinking theres a lot of tesco Staff and family with shiny new iphones0

And the problem with that is what exactly?:D0 -
Why don't you just ring up tesco mobile and order one from there, that's what I did with my iphone (not the iphone 4) and it was here within a few days.0

I was going to order over the phone but Abbeycentre had me convinced they would have the problem sorted. Now there are no iphones over the phone but il try again tomorrow0

Tesco seems to be a bit of a joke when it comes to iPhone 4.
My partner went down to the Tesco phone shop in Newtownabbey on the day it was released to be told that they didn't have any but there was a website she could register on and they'll email her when they get some back in stock. They also told her there had been a waiting list but that it was only for launch day and they wouldn't be adding to it.
A week later she got an email from Tesco that the phone was back in stock, and went down to the shop only to be told that it had just been English stores that got the stock, but they might get some this week, so to ring back then. When she asked about the list, she was told there was no list.
She went down this week to be told that they only received 1 iPhone from their stores and that there is a list of 50 people waiting now. She was a bit annoyed to now find there was a list, but the salesman then said that chances are most of those at the bottom of this list won't be getting their phones until at least Halloween!!!
She was also told that they can't be ordered from directly through Tesco by phone/internet, only through the Tesco phone shops, then he tried to sell her a 3GS. He also told her that Apple will probably issue a new iPhone 4 in a few months seeing as this one has the antenna fault - not sure where he plucked that scoop about a new phone from.....
She's now having to decide whether to wait and see what happens with Tesco or give in now and go with one of the major providers.0 -
A similar rant from me. Spent a good few days last week phoning Tesco stores to be told one or all of the following: 1)There is no reserve list 2)There's a reserve list with a lot of people on it 3)We don't know when we're getting more 4)We're not getting any until the end of the month 5)We can't tell you whether or not we have stock, you have to physically go to the store.
I'm out of contract with O2 having been with them since the first iPhone was released. Their new tariffs aren't competitive, so I wanted to move to Tesco. Yes, I could wait until supply is outstripping demand but I'd like one now, I just wish that Tesco would have a better system in place for this. :-(Mac OS X0
