How far is too far when you want a job

Hi all,
Just need a little advice.. I've found a job which I believe to be perfect for me and I really want it. I've sent in my application and currently awaiting reply... but I feel like I need to do more as I really want it but I don't want to seem too desperate. So what do you believe I could possibly do to show them this or if anything?

It might depend on what sort of job it is in what kind of company.
If it's public sector, I don't think there's anything you can do.
It's not the charity I work for, because we're not advertising atm, but if you were bugging me over the phone about how wonderful you were and how much you wanted this job, I wouldn't be impressed. But then, I'm only dealing with the admin, not the actual shortlisting, so I'd just be muttering in the background about people wasting my time.
If you've got a genuine question which honestly isn't answered in the job pack, you could try phoning to ask it, but be prepared for people not having a lot of time to chat and be all round amazed at how fantastic you are.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Ok, Thanks for the advice it's appreciated! Yeah, I think I'm just going to leave it and see how fate falls. It's just hard when I believe the job is so perfect for me.
Thanks again

Nothing wrong in calling them to check that they have received your application.
If it was posted......."recently had postal delivery problems.....just wanted to check that my application has arrived!".
If it was emailed...." had a failed delivery message when I sent in my application.....just wanted to check.....!"
You might be lucky and get the chance to get engaged in a deeper conversation with them.
Good luck!0
