Work related stress

Does anybody know what the law is regarding attending an interview for another job whilst on sick leave with work related stress (I have invoked grievance procedures)?
I do not plan to work whilst on sick, I just want to know whether I'm within my rights to seek alternative employment and attend a job interview if invited whilst on sick leave as I do not really want to work for my current employer again- or if I do it will be on a part time basis only, and I will need another job to supplement my income. I cannot find anything documented in my contract that suggests I can't, nor can I find any HR policies on my employers website that make any reference to it.
Can anybody advise please?

Yes. There isn't a law. But you can go to interviews. That isn't your normal work so it doesn't count.0
