Selling Indian gold jewellery

Hi everybody,

Me and my wife would like to sell some of her Indian gold jewellery and would like to go somewhere in South East England / London tomorrow Friday 25th June 2010 to sell it and get instant cash / bank transfer etc. We are going away this Monday 28th June 2010 for a few weeks and the cash will be very useful to us. We believe the value is between £2000 - £4000 but have no clue at this stage!

This is all our own jewellery and we are happy to go to company with rigid security checks.

I am looking for a place where we will get money on the spot with the highest rates. I know this forum mentions Hatton Gardens Metal but I would rather go somewhere face to face.

Do you think my best best would be Indian Jewellers such as the ones in Southall / Green street etc. Does anybody know a good place in the home counties such as Buckinghamshire?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

:)HI i'd say the best people to come to its Lasani Jewellers on Plashet Grove E6, its off Green street. and they give the best rate and honest - thats whom i'v been going to and will be again in 2 weeks. i'v shopped around to get prices quotes and others were ripping me big time worser then each other but these lot gave me best deal. helped me in my raining days

I do not know the area enough to advise you on a place to go but I think it is worth visiting a few places.

I had a diamond braclet as a gift from a relative who died and I wanted to sell it to buy a necklace as I do not like wearing things around my wrist.
I took it to 4 places in my area, Ihad 4 offers at £500, £1200, £1400, £1600
So the first shop thought I was a dumb blonde.

Then the final shop I got the guy up to 1720.

So my advice to you is visit a few places before you sell, just to get an idea of what they offer. Especially if your like me and don't know what things are worth.
