Hi
Me and hubby are just about to send in our completed budget sheet to National Debtline as we are applying for DRO's separately.
My income is made up from benefits and we have Council Tax and Housing benefit as well.
Hubbys income is made up of a seasonal job which fuctuates and is not a stable income and his Self Employment which is currently not bringing in very much but enough to cover his basic overheads.
NDL ask for copies of proof of incomes and says that bank statements will not be classed as proof. Hubby only has his anual accounts for last tax year for his Self Employment and for his seasonal work he only has the P 60 they provided end of year.
He doesnt get 'pay slips' or contracts as such from either job. Seasonal work he chooses which jobs to attend (or gets invited) as its car park work at festivals and events. For his Self Employment he is a mobile car valeter and is clinging onto the remaining 'regular' customers who havent made cutbacks.
What can I provide for proof of incomes?
Secondly I am having trouble completing the NDL form for my hubby as I take responsibility for the household bills and my husbands Working Tax Credits and my Incapacity Benefit is all the income I have. Which I have shown on my form and have shown on my form the outgoings as well. However on my hubbys form how can I show that the Working Tax Credits arnt 'used' by him and all he uses is his low income? Which as I said he doesnt use for the household bills but for his business?
NDL had advised us Hubby would have to go via the Business Debtline route but they told us under the circumstances to complete a 'normal' Budget sheet and submit mine and hubbys together with a note explaining the situation, which I have ready, but I am aware it seems a bit of a muddle an are concerned. We need to get it submitted asap as waiting time is 7 weeks currently and when I rang NDL for help yesterday they were a bit off as it is taking so long for me to send in the forms due to the difficult situation. On paper it looks a mess and sounds confusing but in reality it works ok. We have separate debts and no joint loans which is why we want to make 2 applications as even though we are married and have been for many years our finaces have remained separate as neither hubby has never had a good track record with money and I have often had to foot the bill, hence why I am in trouble now as well as having to find money in the past to keep a roof over our head and food on the table. We have learnt and are struggling now but determined not to get into more debt and just want a DRO to clear the debts and give us some breathing space for an easier future.
Thanks in advance

Hi Crisp £ note, I think you will have more chance of advice if you post on the Bankruptcy forum on this thread - it is specifically for DRO info and advice https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1385275
