Default on credit report

Just a bit of background into this
the debt is with black horse, which was recorded as ccj on the defaulted date 29.11.07
started 13.12.01
Default Balance £3541.00
current balance £4329.00
defaulted on 29.11.07 (which was last payment)
and they have just updated this on 6.6.2010 and now i have a default on credit file as well, i read somewhere that they have to issue a default within 6 months off last payment made.
Could someone shed any light on this pls, also they have stated that the balance outstanding is more than the defaulted amount im really confused now!!!:o

I think the default will show from the 29.11.07 for 6 years then drop off.
If it doesnt then is the time to kick off
